Dočkal's return and third win
The third pre-season match before start of the spring season was special. Captain Bořek Dočkal has played for the first time since March win over Viktoria Plzeň after long injury. Sparta defeated Ústí nad Labem 1-0 after a goal by Michal Sáček and won even third match with clean sheet. Head coach Vaclav Jilek used two elevens.
Bořek Dočkal was very active from the opening minutes. In the first seconds he crossed to Adam Hložek, but he could not get the ball to the net. A moment later, the 17-year-old talent shot but goalkeeper Tvrdoň was ready.
In the eighth minute, Bořek tried from a distance but Tvrdoň stopped the attempt. Ten minutes later, the man with a captain's tape sent a great pass to Adam Hložek who tried to chop the goalkeeper but unfortunately failed. A moment later, Jan Fortelný tried to find Tetteh but the ball didn't pass.
Bořek Dočkal often searched for Adam Hložek and after his next cross Adam had a chance on his head. But Tvrdoň performed a great save. Jan Fortelný had a huge chance at the end of the half but unfortunately missed the goal after Vindheim's pass. That was all from the first half.
Eleven new Spartans entered to the second half. David Bičík was in our goal for the first time this season.
After five minutes, Martin Graicar got the chance but missed the goal after cross from the left. There was not so much to see next minutes. But everything changed after cross by Guélor Kanga from the 71st minute. Michal Sáček unexpectedly ran for the pass near the far post and scored a leading goal.
After Sparta goal, the guests had opportunities. First Fortune Bassey’s shot from the long distance. A moment later, Michal Bílek was in a great chance. Fortunately, his shot missed David Bičík's goal. At the end of the match, Matyáš Písačka was near the goal line after pass from the right side. But even he could not steal David Bičík’s clean sheet. Sparta defeated defeated Ústí nad Labem 1-0.
