The new contract for our coach
ACS + PV = 2023. AC Sparta Prague's management extended an agreement with the head coach Pavel Vrba. The current contract was extended by a year, to summer 2023.
Contracts were extended also with assistant coaches Zdeněk Bečka and Luboš Loučka, besides them with goalkeeper coaches Michal Špit and Martin Ticháček.
“We are convinced that continuing cooperation with Pavel Vrba is for the club the best solution at this moment. We see the coach made a performance shift. The sign of this contract is binding on all sides because all of us expect sports success. I believe we can do it together,” says the general director of AC Sparta Prague František Čupr about the sign of the new deal.
“Contract extension with Pavel Vrba is a natural step in a path to reach our goals. The coach has shown that he can prepare the team well and win games. At the same, we have to constantly improve our style of play and develop each player. We believe Pavel Vrba is the person who can make it and Sparta will win trophies with him,” says the sports director Tomáš Rosický.
Pavel Vrba has signed his second contract with Sparta. His statistics with the team since February 2021 are: 51 competitive matches, 33 wins, 7 draws, and 11 losses. Six out of eleven losses were reached in the European cups. Sparta did not lose any league game in Letná under Vrba, won the autumn derby against Slavia, and reached 45 points in 19 league games this season, which is the most since the title season 2013/2014.
And these are Pavel Vrba's first words after signing a new contract: “I am happy we agreed on continuing our cooperation. I believe our work with colleagues in the coaching team, players, and management will lead to the success that everyone in Sparta desires.”
We wish you good luck and many successes, coach.
