"He plays for the Slovakian under-21 national team, and his arrival increases the competition between goalkeepers in the A-team. He meets our requirements for a young, promising player with whom we want to work and develop his potential," says Sparta's sports director Tomáš Rosický about the talented goalie.
Jakub Surovčík was born in 2002 in Bratislava and on Wednesday the 28th of June he going to celebrate his 21st birthday. Through the years he collected experiences in the youth Teams in Prague, namely Meteor a Slavia. In the season 2020/2021 he tasted adult football, when he added a few starts in Slavia’s B-team. In the autumn part of the next season, he went on loan to the Vlašim.
In January 2022 he went to Jablonec, where he gathered 20 starts also in the B-team. In the last season, he filled the role of second goalie of the first team. Eventually, he made three appearances in the top Czech league.
