For personal development

Part of the Academy is the education of our players. ACS partner schools create ideal training conditions for them without neglecting their school duties. We put emphasis on making sure that our male and female players are not only good players, but also that they are good and conscious people. We try to develop many skills in them that can open the door to their careers if their football career doesn't work out.

Sparta helps personal development and consists of two core projects - DofE and Financial Literacy.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Our youth players participate in the international Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) program, which is an integral part of the academy culture at Sparta. This program is focused on overall personal development and growth. Throughout the season, players work towards achieving the Bronze level of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, which is tailored specifically for them and includes these four phases
  • skill/talent development
  • physical activity/sports improvement
  • volunteering
  • expedition
Successful graduates of the program will attend a ceremonial certificate and badge presentation. The DofE program is recognized by international schools, foreign universities, and employers as a mark of quality for applicants.

Education in financial matters

Education in financial matters is also very important to us. Therefore, in 2023, we launched a financial literacy educational program in our academy. Under the guidance of former AC Sparta Praha footballer Roman Polom, players undergo this program. Through interactive sessions, Polom has prepared a series of macroeconomic and other financial lectures aimed at acquainting the youth with fundamental concepts, teaching responsible handling of money and financial instruments, and informing them about potential opportunities and threats in everyday life.
