Every journey has its beginning and the Spartan one dates back to 16 November 1893.
In the autumn of 1918 many Spartans returned from the war and with them the old fighting spirit.
Sparta had an excellent team, which confirmed the great previous era by winning two Central European Cups. The end of this period was unfortunately disrupted by the war.
The almost thirty-year period was very rich in various events for Sparta, both on the domestic and foreign scene.
After years full of success, a difficult period has come. An improvement occurred in the early 1980s and a permanent turnaround in the 1984-1990 seasons.
Sparta spent the period at the turn of the millennium mostly in the spotlight.
While Sparta clearly dominated the domestic scene in the 1990s, this changed in the first years of the new millennium.
Legacy
We all know our club as AC Sparta Prague. But the club has not always carried this name throughout its history.
As Sparta changed their names, logically the club logos had to change as well.
The red colour has always belonged to Sparta, one might say. But that's not quite true.
