Our Academy

Since 2017, AC Sparta Prague football club has been regularly awarded the status of Club Academy (KA) supported by the FAČR. The boys' academy is divided into four phases: Fun phase (U7-U9), Development phase (U10-U13), Performance phase (U14-U17) and the Professional phase (U19).

Since 2023, Sparta is also proud of the Girls' Academy (WA) status. Young Spartan girls are divided into the same phases, Fun phase (WU7-WU9), Development phase (WU11 - WU13), Performance phase (WU14 - WU17) and Professional phase (WU21).

Our philosophy

The goal of the academy is to prepare players to have the potential to become members of the club's A-team through the systematic development of all components of athletic performance. At the same time, we emphasize the importance of education and promote the overall development of players off the football field.

"I see that one of my main tasks as a director/head coach of the ACS Academy is to pass on my football and coaching experience to our young players and coaches. I want to work with all the people in the academy and throughout the club. It should be the goal of all of us to work together to create an environment and atmosphere that is conducive to the development and growth of our young Spartans. And not only sportingly, but also humanly. From the position of the head coach of the so called Profi phase (U19 category), I want to work closely with the coach Jan Kopáňko and the whole coaching staff."

Our Facilities

The training facilities of our Academy are spread across several locations in Prague. All the boys' categories (U7-U19) and the girls' WU18 train and play their matches at the training centre at Strahov. The younger Spartan girls train in Satalice.

Strahov

The training centre at Strahov is available to our Spartans starting from the U8 category all the way to the A-team. It is also home to the WU17 and WU21 girls' team and to the women's A-team. Our training centre has 6 full size pitches with natural grass and 2 with artificial grass, which we use both for training as well as for matches, and other projects, such drafts or camps. The Academy offers our players top quality conditions not only for their sporting development, but also for their education, which forms an important part of our philosophy. Satalice

The sports complex in Satalice is home to the girls' teams: WU7, WU9, WU11, WU13 and our WU15. Our football players have at their disposal one pitch with natural grass and one with an artificial surface. The training sessions of our youngest Spartan girls are not focused just on football, but also on their versatile physical training. The training centre includes tennis courts, beach volleyball and a multi-purpose court (football, indoor football, badminton) and a restaurant. Address: U Arborky 397, 190 15 Prague-Satalice
