Our People

The Academy of AC Sparta Prague is not only made up of players and staff. There are many people involved in the day to day operations, ensuring that the Academy operates at the highest level possible in every aspect and that it sets an example for other clubs and academies, both at home and abroad. At the same time, we respond to new trends and to the requirements that go hand in hand with working with youth. That is why new people and specialists with various areas of expertise continue to be added to our ranks.

Oldřich Šmerda

"The primary goal of the Academy is to grow players for professional football, above all for our first team. However, we do understand that this path is a tough one and that only a handful of players will achieve their dreams. For this very reason, we believe that the education of a player from a human point of view and from an academic one lie on the same level. Homegrown talent in the A team with a completed high school education is a target towards which the Academy directs its activity."

Petr Silovský

"The girls' Academy provides sports training for almost 150 players at the Training Centres at Strahov and in Satalice. The aim of both the club and the girls' Academy is to expand the number of youth categories in the near future and to play a big part in the development of women's football in the Czech Republic. The complex preparation of our young players is ensured by staff teams led by specialists. In later years the academy coordinates the education and the accommodation of our players. We want to build on honest and open communication in our organisation, relying on active team cooperation, and building of professional relationships. An accomplished goal for us is a player ready for the Women's A-team.”
