The first chance came in the 9th minute. Mamba fired but Nita was ready. Four minutes later, we have seen a similar attempt on the other side. Home goalkeeper Spahic saved after Kanga's attempt without a problem.
Benjamin Tetteh had a chance after Kanga’s pass but missed the goal from close range. Matěj Hanousek centered few minutes later but Benji headed but home keeper pushed the ball to the corner.
After 34 minutes we were celebrating a goal. Nico Stanciu sent a great pass to Tetteh which put us ahead. Five minutes later Radaković fired from a long distance, but it was another corner.
Just before the break, Stanciu sent Karlsson to chance, but the ball went wide of the post. After the first half Sparta led 1-0.
Head coach Zdeněk Ščasný made four changes during the break. Heča, Sáček, Chipciu and Hložek replaced Nita, Karsson, Plavšić and Tetteh. Right after the break it could be equalized. Milan Heča destroyed Mamba in two similar positions during short time.
In 50th minute Chipciu unleashed a fantastic kick from long range and it was 2-0! On the other side, seven minutes later, Heča stole another chance to home team.
Chervak had a last chance of the match five minutes before the final whistle but scooped his shot over the bar. Sparta won 2-0 in Cottbus.
