No chance for Slovan at Letná

Again, there was no reason to make any changes in the starting line-up, and Lavička sent out the same eleven as in the previous matches.

Slovan were defending well in the first 30 minutes, but were pushed back to their own box for a long time. However, chances were not coming easily for the home side.

However, Sparta finally managed to break the resistance after 29 minutes of play. Lukáš Vácha did not hit the ball clearly, but sent the ball directly to Lafata, who had no trouble beating Perniš from only a couple of metres.

Only three minutes later, Marek Matějovský found Ladislav Krejčí with a wonderful pass into the box and Sparta were leading 2-0.

Even though Slovan were presenting themselves in a more offensive manner in the second half, it was Sparta again to entertain the audience. Lafata only hit Perniš with his header after a corner kick, but Costa was there with a quick rebound to give Sparta a 3-0 lead.

Lafata then scored his second of the night after a clever combination with Kadeřábek and Matějovský, to set the final score 4-0.
