Interview with Andreas Vindheim

Andreas Vindheim has been in Sparta since last summer and was also on the pre-season camp in Austria. But we haven't brought a bigger interview with him yet because he was injured immediately after the transfer and it was long term injury. However, during the autumn he gained the necessary fitness condition, played the matches, scored his first league goal in the red jersey and now he is looking forward to the spring part of the season!

INTERVIEW | Andreas Vindheim

Andreas Vindheim's father was also a football player, so it's not surprise he passed love of sport to his son. Andreas has grown in Norway, it is clear that he really like winter sports.
“I really like sports. I fallow sports, handball, and football and especially skiing. I really like skiing. Cross-country and downhill. When I was in Norway on I was doing cross-country skiing every day. It’s for the pleasure and for the view of the nature.”
Although he is a great sportsman, after coming to Sparta, he had to rest for a long time because he was immediately injured. So quickly after moving to the new club it was not easy for him.
“It was a tough message. If you come to a new club, you want to do as well as you can. I wanted to show everyone why Sparta bought me. So it was really hard. I had few injuries before. First thing you have to do is accept the situation. You can always improve even if you are injured.”
As Andy has already mentioned, Sparta will face his former club Malmö on the 6th of February. He has already played dome games against his former clubs.
When I played in Malmö I also played against my former team. I played only in three clubs in my professional career and it’s the second time I meet my former team. So it’s something special.”
