Our first summer signing is Santiago Eneme, who joins Sparta from Slovan Liberec. The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a multi-year contract with the club and will join the team at the start of pre-season.
„Santiago Eneme is a player who, thanks to his technical ability, physical attributes, and involvement in the build-up, should be a good fit for our playing style,“ says interim sporting director of AC Sparta Praha Tomáš Sivok. „He has the right character as well – that was also something we looked into. The advantage is that he has already played in the Czech league, so he doesn’t need time to adapt.“

Eneme was born in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, where he developed his football skills at the Cano Sport academy. At just eighteen, he made the move to Europe, joining the youth teams of French side Nantes. He went on to make over 50 appearances for the club’s reserve team.
In 2023, he moved to the Czech Republic, starting in the second division with Vyškov. A year later, he was picked up by Slovan Liberec. In the current season, he made 24 appearances for them, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

He also started for Liberec in their March fixture against us, impressing with his energy and quick transitions into attack. Comfortable in multiple midfield roles, he is known for his excellent dribbling skills.
Santiago is a regular call-up for the Equatorial Guinea national team, having made his senior debut at the age of eighteen. He has featured in the last two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and played in World Cup qualifiers. He already has nearly 30 international caps to his name.
Santiago, we wish you all the best in our jersey!
