After a six-month spell in Upper Austria, Kryštof Daněk is heading back to familiar territory. The 22-year-old midfielder will once again wear the LASK jersey, joining the club on a season-long loan. The agreement also includes an option for a permanent transfer.
A product of Sigma Olomouc’s youth academy, Daněk joined Sparta in the summer of 2022. He made an immediate impact, scoring in the opening league match against Liberec and becoming a regular starter under head coach Brian Priske. He went on to celebrate a league title with the team that season. In 2023/24, he spent the campaign on loan at Pardubice.

His strong performances in Eastern Bohemia earned him a starting spot at the beginning of last season. In the opening league match, he delivered a precise assist for Ryneš’s goal against his former club Pardubice. He also contributed a goal in the domestic cup as Sparta advanced to the round of 16, and helped the team qualify for the Champions League group stage. Unfortunately, an injury sidelined him during the final stretch of the autumn season.
In February, Daněk moved to LASK, where he made 18 competitive appearances, scoring once and providing three assists. In June, he featured in all three group-stage matches for the Czech U21 team at the European Championship.
Good luck in Austria, Kryštof!
