After a half-season loan spell in the Netherlands, Václav Sejk has become a permanent Heerenveen player, with the club activating the purchase option for the 23-year-old forward.
The Sparta academy graduate took his first steps in senior football with our B-team before gaining top-flight experience at Teplice and Jablonec. In the first half of the 2023/24 season, Sejk was part of Sparta’s first team, which means he can boast a Czech league title and a domestic cup triumph.

The former captain of the Czech U21 national team then continued his career abroad. After spells with Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade, Poland’s Zagłębie Lubin and Portugal’s Famalicão, he eventually returned to the land of tulips.
During the autumn, Sejk made 17 league appearances for Heerenveen, scoring three goals and adding one assist. He also earned his first call-up to the Czech senior national team, making his debut against San Marino.
Sejky, best of luck in the next chapter of your career!
