Share

Eighteen-year-old Viktor Vitályos will officially join Sparta on 1 July 2026. The left-footed defender from MTK Budapest has already made appearances in Hungary’s top division as well as for the country’s youth national teams. In accordance with regulations, Sparta has already agreed terms with both MTK and the player. Vitályos will join Brian Priske’s squad for pre-season preparation.
“Viktor is a player who has been improving at a very rapid pace, which is why we decided not to wait any longer but to act quickly and secure his future with us. We believe in his potential and want to ensure that such a talented defender continues his development here,” says AC Sparta Praha Sporting Director Tomáš Rosický.
“He has very good physical attributes, a strong mentality, he’s dynamic, aggressive in defending, and capable of quality build-up play. He’s very young, but already plays with maturity. If he continues to develop, he has all the prerequisites to become a complete defender.”
The 187-centimetre-tall Budapest native spent most of his youth career at Ferencváros before moving to Puskás Akadémia in 2021. At just 17, he made his professional debut, coming on late in a Hungarian Cup match. He was also part of his team’s UEFA Youth League campaign, appearing in two matches.
“Sparta is a big club – in my opinion, the biggest in the Czech Republic. I was very impressed by the plan Tomáš Rosický presented to me. This is an important step in my career. I’m already really looking forward to the moment when I put on the red shirt for the first time and step out in front of the Sparta fans,” says Vitályos.
After a six-month loan spell at second-division side Aqvital FC Csákvár, he moved to MTK Budapest, where he has featured in ten Hungarian top-flight matches this season. On the international stage, he has already earned more than 20 caps for Hungary’s youth national teams. At Letná, he has signed a multi-year contract.
We’re looking forward to having you, Viktor!
