„Ebrima is a dynamic player blessed with both pace and physical strength, as well as excellent movement. One of his biggest assets is his versatility, allowing him to operate in all attacking positions. He actively seeks out one-on-one situations, is dangerous when attacking open spaces and making runs into the penalty area, and consistently supports the box in the final third,“ says Tomáš Rosický, sporting director of AC Sparta Praha.

Ebrima Singhateh was born on 10 September 2003 in Brikama, Gambia. He completed his youth development at Real de Banjul, where he spent two and a half seasons gaining experience in his homeland’s top division. At the age of 18, he decided to move to Europe, joining Estonian side Paide, with whom he won the Estonian Cup.
However, he did not stay long in the small town of 8,000 inhabitants in the heart of Estonia. In August 2022, he made the move to the Czech capital after being signed by our rival from Vršovice, where he regularly featured for the second team. During this period, he also represented Gambia at the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. At the continental tournament, he helped his team reach the final, where Senegal ultimately came out on top.

Back to club football. During the 2023/24 season, Ebrima experienced life at two more Czech clubs. In the autumn part of the campaign, he recorded eight goals and three assists for Vlašim in the second division. Those performances earned him a move to Sigma Olomouc for the spring, although things did not go quite as planned there, and he was subsequently sold by Slavia to Karviná.
In Silesia, he gradually developed into one of the league’s most dangerous dribblers and has been among the standout performers in that aspect of the game over the last two seasons. His displays convinced Jablonec to bring him in at the beginning of February. He played a key role in helping the North Bohemian side eliminate his former club from Eden in the MOL Cup quarterfinals, first by scoring to make it 2:1 and then converting the decisive penalty in the shootout.
Welcome, Ebrima!
