Sivert Mannsverk is staying at Letná! The 24 year old midfielder has completed a permanent transfer from Ajax and signed a multi year contract with the club. We are delighted to have you with us, Sivert!
“I’m really happy. believed the negotiations between the clubs would end well and that Sparta would be able to complete the transfer. I can’t wait to see the boys again,” said Mannsverk after signing his contract.

“Sivert is the type of player who brings balance to the team and helps control the midfield. He is also excellent at organising play. He constantly wants the ball and actively looks for spaces where he can make himself available to his teammates. He has outstanding physical attributes, is aggressive and active in duels. That combination of football quality and physicality is exactly what we need from our deeper midfielders,” said Tomáš Rosický.
Born in the small Norwegian town of Øvre Årdal and a graduate of the Sogndal academy, Mannsverk has previously played for Molde, Ajax and Cardiff before arriving at Letná in the middle of last August. He made his debut in the red shirt away to Riga and, despite a one goal defeat, celebrated qualification for the Conference League with his new teammates.
“During the past season, he often did not play in his preferred position, but he always showed his work ethic and willingness to put the team first. He is a strong character who is not afraid to stand up for his teammates and the club. He demonstrated exactly the mentality we want to see. That is why we wanted him to continue with us,” added Sparta’s sporting director.
Mannsverk dealt with a minor injury around the September international break but returned quickly and registered two assists during the autumn part of the season. In total, he made 27 competitive appearances for Sparta. You can also revisit the
