Farewell, Albion Rrahmani

Kosovo international joins newly promoted Serie A side

Two years ago, he arrived to strengthen our squad ahead of the battle for a place in the UEFA Champions League league phase. Now, Albion Rrahmani bids farewell to our jersey. The 25-year-old striker is joining Venezia FC, who secured promotion to Italy’s top flight by winning Serie B last season. Albion, thank you for all the joy your goals brought us. Good luck in Venice!
There were two days to go before our opening Champions League qualifier, and Lars Friis’ side was preparing for the trip to Sweden. But just before departure, the head coach welcomed a new addition to our team. While Albion did not make his debut in Malmö, he came on for the final ten minutes of the return leg in Prague and sealed Sparta’s progression to the league phase with a goal.
His league debut could hardly have gone any better. On his 24th birthday, Rrahmani inspired our 2:0 victory over Hradec Králové. First, he set up Lukáš Haraslín inside the box, before calmly placing the ball into the bottom-right corner just before half-time. “Together with the win, it was a special present for me,” said the Man of the Match.
During the turbulent 2024/25 campaign, Albion experienced the atmosphere of the biggest stage in European club football. He also found the net in the Champions League, scoring in our defeat at De Kuip. He added goals in the heated Prague derby and in the Czech Cup final against Sigma Olomouc.
Rrahmani started the following season in impressive fashion. His three goals in the qualifying rounds helped Sparta reach the Conference League league phase, and at the end of August he once again proved that nobody could stop him on his birthday. This time, it was Zlín who suffered, as the Kosovo striker produced one of the finest goals of the season.
Albion brought his time at Letná to a close by scoring the winning goal in his final home appearance against Hradec Králové. Over two seasons in the red jersey, he scored 26 goals and provided six assists.
Thank You, Albion!
