Albanian striker completes move to Slovenia

Indrit Tuci leaves Sparta after more than two and a half years at the club. The Albanian striker will now experience the Slovenian top flight with NK Olimpija Ljubljana. Thank you for everything, Indrit, and best of luck!
Tuci joined Sparta in December 2023 from Lokomotiva Zagreb. Just two months later, in only his third match in a Sparta shirt, he etched his name into the memories of fans. In the 66th minute of the return leg against Galatasaray, he replaced Victor Olatunji, and just eight minutes later, he headed Zelený’s cross past Muslera. Moments later, he provided the assist for Haraslín, who doubled Sparta’s lead.
For the remainder of the season, Tuci mostly featured off the bench, but he contributed two assists during the team’s run to the MOL Cup final. After just half a year, he celebrated a double with his teammates.
At the beginning of the 2024/2025 season, he helped Sparta qualify for the Champions League league stage, scoring against Shamrock. He also found the net in league matches against Bohemians and Jablonec, earning his first call-up to the Albanian national team, for whom he debuted in October 2024 – at Letná, against the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, an injury hampered the rest of his season, and he only scored twice more, both for the B-team.
Last season, the 25 year old striker gained further experience on loan at Turkish side Kayserispor, where he made 22 competitive appearances and scored four goals. His next destination is NK Olimpija Ljubljana, who finished fourth in the Slovenian top division in the 2025/26 season.
Good luck in Ljubljana, Indrit!
