We suffered a 2:0 home defeat to Baník on the Czech public holiday
A week and a half after our previous meeting in Vítkovice, Baník travelled to Letná to face us once again, this time in the Round of 16 of the domestic cup. The visitors made the stronger start, with Filip Kubala finishing with a backheel after a pass from Michal Kohút. Tobias Guddal appeared to have equalised, but his goal was ruled out by the referee following a VAR review. In the second half, Kubala thought he had doubled Baník’s lead, but his goal was also disallowed. The visitors did, however, eventually find the net again, with Rhodri Smith scoring to seal the result.
