Farewell match of Sparta legends

Don’t miss this unique event filled with football stars and emotional moments. Come and pay tribute to those who wrote Sparta’s history. Be there as they step onto the Letná pitch one last time to bring their careers to a close.

The Sparta Farewell won’t be just a goodbye — it will be a celebration of shared memories and powerful stories that have connected players throughout their careers. Each team will be built around players who have recently — or in past years — retired from professional football. For this special match, each of them has invited former teammates — footballers with whom they experienced the key moments of their careers.

Two teams will take the field: The Sparta Legends Team and Bony Wilfried’s Team.

Sparta Legends Team:
This side will consist of former Sparta players who once wore the red jersey and have since ended their professional careers — whether they finished at Letná or elsewhere around the world. Alongside the retiring players, you’ll also see their hand-picked former teammates, those with whom they shared the pitch in memorable matches.

Bony Wilfried’s Team:
The second team will carry the personal signature of one of the most iconic strikers to play for Sparta — Bony Wilfried. His lineup will feature players from all over the world, with whom he shared the locker room during his career — whether at clubs like Vitesse, Swansea, and Manchester City, or with the Ivory Coast national team.

The first players revealed – Bony Wilfried, Marek Matějovský and David Pavelka are coming back to Letná! And that’s just the beginning. Several other Sparta legends and global football names have already confirmed their participation – and we’ll be unveiling them gradually in the coming weeks. You truly have something to look forward to.

The proceeds from the Spartan farewell game will support the AC Sparta Prague Endowment Fund and the Foundation LYA selected by Bony Wilfried, which helps children in Ivory Coast.
