Martin Hašek refused to travel with the first team to camp in Spain. This is act against his duties and there will be consequences for him. It is a completely unprecedented and unprofessional act of a player who must be prepared to face the consequences.
During the Monday, Martin Hašek negotiated several times with club management about not going to the training camp with the team. He even arrived at the team meeting without travel documents. Club management told him to go home for all the necessary things and come to the airport for departure. Martin Hašek did not arrive there.
The situation is simple: there has been act against internal rules by the player. It’s act against the club, management, coaches, teammates and fans. There will be a financial penalty, while the top management will solve the player's future. Martin Hašek has a valid contract and acts in direct contradiction with the contract. Sparta absolutely fulfils obligations from the valid professional contract. Player is not.
It is not the first case of non-fulfilment of basic duties during the current winter pre-season. After the autumn part of the season, Hašek did not pick up the training equipment necessary to monitor the physical training to fulfil the predetermined training plan. Already to this fact, the club management in early January gave him a financial penalty.
After returning from holydays, he said that he was not responding to messages and would be well-prepared. The results of physical tests showed a significant decrease in his physical condition.
Martin Hašek is the Spartan name. His father was as a player and coach at Letná and in the autumn he was even congratulated by ACS leadership to his 50th birthday before the match with Bohemians. Martin Hašek Jr. is has grown up at the Strahov Youth Centre. During the autumn he played 1491 min. and was the fourth busiest player in the team. In the context of these facts, his conduct is not only unprofessional, but also surprising.
