Good news! Jakub Brabec extended his contract – the new one is valid until 2018!
Brabec was getting his first senior football experience with Viktoria Žižkov, but was transferred back to Sparta in 2011, shortly after the U19 European Championship, where he led the Czechs as a captain and won silver medal.
Since then he appeared in 30 matches in Sparta, scoring three goals. He also spent the 2012/2014 season on loan in Zbrojovka Brno.
This season, he played in six league games, one in the Champions League qualification and also both play-off matches with Zwolle in the Europa League, scoring in the second leg in Prague. He also didn’t miss a minute in the group stage, playing both games against Naples and Young Boys.
