The former Slovak Under-21 national team assistant Oto Brunegraf has joined Sparta Praha staff and he will be the new assistant coach of Pavel Hapal.
„I would like to Oto Brunegraf will follow me to Sparta but I'm not sure how fast it will be possible,“ said head coach Pavel Hapal at the start of March when he was officially confirmed as a new head coach of Sparta.
They know each other very well since 2007 when they lead FC Nitra together. They follow each other in the next years as they cooperate during their time with Mladá Boleslav, Žilina, Senica and Slovak Under-21 national team as well.
„We are really used to work together and I'm really happy he has joined our club. I don't have to say him what he has to do, he already knows it and that's the most important,“ said Pavel Hapal after Thursday's training session.
Oto Brunegraf was appointed as a replacement of Pavel Hapal in Slovak Under-21 national team for two matches in March against Albania. Slovakia won both matches.
They will now work together again. „It's like a marriage, we know each other for a long time and we know what to expect from each other. Our style is similar and we want same things from players like discipline and hard work in the training sessions and matches too,“ said Oto Brunegraf.
