We are in the MOL Cup final!
Sparta won the semifinal match against Victoria Plzeň 2-1. Kanga and Kozák decided about our win in the first half, Plzeň only reduced the score in the last minute. In the end, Heča saved us!
Head coach Václav Kotal returned Dávid Hancko to the line-up after one match punishment for four yellow cards. Libor Kozák was our striker and surprisingly Andreas Vindheim took the position of the right wing from the beginning.
Sparta had her first chance in the tenth minute. Frýdek passed to Hložek, he sent the ball to Vindheim, who then offered a to Krejčí. His attempt was blocked by Plzeň defence to a corner and nothing dangerous of it.
In the 14th minute, Bořek Dočkal played a free kick and it was a corner. Then David Limberský fouled Libor Kozák in the box and it was a penalty. Kanga sent the ball near the post behind Hruška!
The guests did not prepare any chances for an answer. On the other hand, in the 28th minute, Dočkal from the right line crossed to the box. Libor Kozák was ready, headed behind Hruška and we lead by two!
Probably the first dangerous situation in Sparta's box came in the 35th minute. After a corner kick, Hancko kicked the ball from the goal line. However, the referee subsequently whistled a foul on Heča.
At the end of the half, Kalvach played a free kick from a dangerous position and fortunately missed the goal. But Heča was also ready.
The start of the second half brought great chance. Hložek got to the box and referee Pechanec ordered a penalty. But after the consultation with a VAR, he cancelled it.
Instead of a penalty, only a corner. Dočkal placed it on Hancko's head and he hit the post!
In the 52nd minute, Plzeň with a quick action penetrated into the got to the box after a quick action. Kopic aimed well but the ball went off.
A free kick just outside of the Plzeň penalty area after 64 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Hancko hit just the side net!

Pilsen did not have time and Sparta is celebrating the MOL Cup final after a 2-1 victory. We will meet Liberec on July 1 at the Slovan Stadium.
