A loss 0-1 in the Prague derby against Slavia means no point import from Eden stadium this time. Sparta could not answer Zmrhal’s goal from the final moments of the first half.
Zdeněk Ščasný made no changes in the line-up and sent out exactly same starting eleven as last week against Olomouc.
Sparta were having more possession in the first half, but couldn’t create any big scoring chance. On the other side, Slavia were threatening from counter attacks. Škoda dodged Costa, but then lost the ball to Bičík and Matějovský.
Sparta had two chances in the first half, but both shots by Hušbauer went wide of the home goal. Then, in the final moments of the first half, Zmrhal fired from distance and the ball bounced underneath Bičík and ended up in the net.
Štohanzl had a good chance from a breakaway in the second half, but Bičík did a good job this time and saved it, Costa then cleared the bouncing ball from the goalline. On the other side, Fatai had Sparta’s biggest chance of the match after Berkovec’s save, but the attacker only hit the post with a rebound.
When Jakub Brabec missed the ball in the last chance of the match, the final whistle meant a 0-1 loss.
