There was not any change in the starting XI, neither in the 3-5-2 formation. Goalkeeper Milan Heča was no on the substitues list due to his illness, replaced by David Bičík.
Home team was more dangerous in match's first dozens of minutes. In 10th minute, Krmenčík didn't grasp a lucky situation in the area while Radaković saving the situation.
Krmenčík could open the score in 23rd minute but in 1-on-1 situation, he just hit Nita, whose save was the moment of the first half.
Sparta did a great attack before the interval. Plavšić found Šural by a great cross pass, but Šural's drive only flied over the bar.
The battle continued in the second period and it was more and more probable that only one situation will determine the result. Both sides could score first, but neither Chipciu, Krmenčík or Stanciu didn't find the goal.
Tetteh had a great opportunity in 61st minute, while founding a pass and trying a chipped goal over Kozáčik who'd been out of the area. Despite Benjamin managed to chip the goalkeeper, the ball landed next to the goal.
Unfortunately, the corner for the home team in the 77th minute was the determining situation. Řezník returned the ball on the penalty area, where Procházka shot poorly. But there was an unlucky Radaković's bounce which made the ball falling in the goal.
Sparta tried the best to score the equalizer, but there was not any bigger chance. Emotions ruled the last minutes of the match, moreover, Nico Stanciu received a red card in the additional time.
