Coach Zdeněk Ščasný made several changes in the squad after Mladá Boleslav. On the right side of the defence was Chipciu and Hložek in front of him. Milan Heča was our goalie for the first time during spring part.
In the tenth minute Kanga surprisingly finished from an angle but missed the goal. In the thirty-third minute the home team scored but Hora fouled Costa and the goal was called off.
Three minutes before the end of the first half Shejbal had a great chance but Milan Heča saved us. Te first half ended 0-0.
In the second half Drchal substituted Tetteh. The first chance came in the 55th minute, Sáček pushed the ball to Frýdek and he tried it from twenty meters but Diviš moved sent ball to the corner.
In the 70th minute Plavšić came to the pitch after long time. After five minutes he sent us to the lead. Kanga tried it from long range and Serbian midfielder sent the ball to the net! 1-0 for Sparta!
Unfortunately in the second minute of the added time Michal Jeřábek equalized by header. So it was 1-1 after 90 minutes.
At the beginning of the extra time Drchal got to the box and shoot from an angle. Diviš stopped his attempt. In the 100th minute Jan Hošek scored by header after corner kick and sent the home team to the lead.
After 16 minute Sparta had one of the few chances. After a long ball Drchal headed but missed the target. In the 120th minute, Kanga won the ball, offered it to Drchal and in a difficult position young forward moved the ball into the net! So it was a time for penalties.
Zahustel scored as well as Hora. In the second series Martin Frýdek was a successful and Tomáš Kučera wasn’t. In the third Diviš stopped Plavšić’s penalty. Then Ljevaković hit the crossbar and after three series we led the 2-1. Drchal and Jindráček scored in the fourth series. The last penalty was then taken by Kanga and sent Sparta to the semifinals!
