Our head coach Zdeněk Ščasný made 3 changes in the line-up after the match with Zlín. Karlssson was replaced on the left wing by Plavšić, Hašek in the midfield was replaced by Frýdek and striker Drchal was substituted by Tetteh.
Slavia head coach Jindřich Trpišovský changed 5 players after the Thursday match against Chelsea. Frydrych replaced Coufal, Souček substituted Traoré, Hušbauer replaced Ševčík, Zmrhal took the place of Stoch and Olayinka substituted Škoda.
The first interesting situation happened the 12th minute. Hušbauer went alone to our goalie and felt down in the box. Referee ordered a penalty and booked Nita with yellow card. After watching the video referee cancelled the penalty, revoked the card for Nita and finally Hušbauer saw the card for simulation.
In the 20th minute Hušbauer sent the ball from corner to Tomáš Souček who scored by header.
Nine minutes later, another situation in our penalty area was decided by VAR and it was not penalty again.
The biggest chance for us in the first half had Michal Sáček. Kanga crossed to the box, Sáček headed but was stopped by Kolář. Sáček tried again from the attempted was not strong enough.
A moment later, Zmrhal missed our goal as same as Hušbauer. So the first half ended with a tight lead of Slavia.
In the beginning of the second half Martin Frýdek sent Škoda to the chance, but Nita saved us by great save!
Sparta played a corner kick in the 53rd minute. Srdjan Plavšić got to the ball, didn't hesitate, hit a ball from the distance and surprised Kolář! So it was 1-1!
After an hour of play, the Slavia went to a quick break, but Nita caught the pass to Souček. Ten minutes later, Slavia Costa stopped Škoda by great tackle. Another opportunity had Zmrhal. He went on the wing and ended the action by a shot outside of the goal.
In the 84th minute Stoch found Škoda by the free. Škoda missed the target. In the added time Král hit the bar. Nothing more happened and Sparta took a 1-1 draw from Sinobo Stadium.
