Sparta started actively and had two corner kicks in the first few minutes. In both cases domestic defence led by former Spartan Jakub Brabec handled the situation.

Unfortunately, the home team added another goal before the half-time. Kopic pushed the ball to right to Hrošovský and he crossed and free Kovařík sent the ball into the empty goal.
Sparta's performance was not ideal in the first half and Coach Horňák made two substitutions. Kanga replaced Hašek in the midfield, and Ćivić replaced Zahustel.
Sparta had the first chance of the second half. Karlsson shot, Hruška performed a great save and pushed the ball to the post. In the 58th minute home team was close to the third goal. Hořava headed in the box, Heča pushed the ball to the corner.
Unfortunately, we've already got another goal a minute later. Fast Kovařík went alone after big mistake of our defence, Heča ran out against him and the Plzeň midfielder easily sent the ball to the net. 0-3.
We immediately got another hit. Kopic took the ball in the middle of the field, changed the ball with Beaguel, and scored the fourth goal.
Heča saved Sparta from the fifth goal after 73 minutes. Kopic passed through the Spartan defence and finished in the box. Heča pushed out his attempt, then Chipciu cleared the situation in our box.
Nothing more happened and Pilsen gave us the same high defeat as we did in the regular season.
