Václav Kotal used his favourite formation 3-5-2. Ondřej Čelůstka returned to the defensive line after injury. On the other hand, Dávid Hancko did not play due to a medical problem. David Pavelka was sent off in the last round. LK37 took the left part of the defence. Filip Souček operated in the middle of the field from the beginning for the second time.
Sparta had a great start. In the second minute, Julda hit the post by the first shot the match. After the next corner, LK37 headed off.
Five minutes later, Karlsson sent a great pass to Vindheim. He had an opened goal, but he missed the target!
Sparta was a more active team throughout the first half and the home had no chances. After 23 minutes, Karlsson tried it from a distance but the goalie had no problem to save the ball.
In the 31st minute, another great chance came for Sparta! This time, Karlsson ran through the defence for a pass from Dočkal. However, the goalkeeper Němeček stopped his attempt.
So, no goals in the first half. This happened only in a Cup duel with Blansko during this season.
Four minutes after the break, Juliš, pressed hard by the defender, run to Němeček, but the goalkeeper stopped the Spartan gunner.
In the second half, Sparta conquered the goal for a long time. The home team defended well but they did not try to attack themselves.
In the 65th minute, Sparta had a quick break. Dočkal took over the pass in the box and then sent to Juliš, which was ready near the goal line and used the opportunity.
15 minutes before the end, Sparta went into a quick break. Minchev did not sent an ideal ball to Juliš but he still got to the ball. Then, he crossed to the box to Laco Krejčí. According to the referee, he played by hand and there was nothing from the action.
In the final minutes, Teplice tried to equalize. In the 85th minute, Žitný shot in the box but his attempt aimed out. Sparta won 1-0 in Teplice.
