Closer to the Cup

Sparta head coach Pavel Vrba made only one change in the line-up after win over Teplice. As in the last cup match, Milan Heča started in our goal. Juliš, Kozák, Hancko, Štetina and Karabec could not play due to health reasons.

The beginning of the match was in style Adam Hložek versus Jablonec. At first, he overshot after Dočkal’s pass. A moment later, he aimed next to the left post. Finally, in the 6^th minute, the 18-year-old striker overshot again.

In the following minutes, Sparta was clearly a more active team, but there were no chances. The first big opportunity for guests came in the end of the first half. Milan Heča bounced off Kratochvíl's shot. In the end of the one-minute added time, LK37 headed over after Plavšić’s cross.

So, two zeros on the score board after the first half.

A shock came right after the start of the second half. Schranz caught a ball, went around Heča and sent sent the ball to the opened goal.

However, our reaction was fast. After two minutes, we pushed the guests, Wiesner passed to Dočkal, captain moved to LK37 and the gunner of the last days levelled!

In the 68^th minute, Hložek fired through the defenders and it was a corner after Hrubý’s tackle. After that, Vitík headed to the bar, then the ball bounced to LK37 and he turned the score!

Ten minutes before the end, Bořek Dočkal sent a great long pass to Laco Krejčí and he raised our lead!

And it wasn't over yet, a moment later LK37 passed to Karlsson in the box and he aimed perfectly near the left post.

Sparta defeated Jablonec 4-1 and we are looking forward to the opponent for the MOL Cup semi-finals.
