The match was played in Ďolíček, where Pardubice play their home matches. Sparta head coach Pavel Vrba made four changes in the line-up compared to the duel with Slovácko. Dávid Hancko started as centre-back, Wiesner and Plavšić on the wings, Souček in the middle of the field. Čelůstka, Vindheim, LK37 Štetina, Kozák and Juliš could not due to health reasons.
Already in the 4th minute, Dočkal fired near the penalty spot and Letáček stopped the ball.
In the end of the seventh minute, Hložek found Tomáš Wiesner beautifully in the box by his heel and Wiesy scored in the second match in a row!
In the 10th minute came the first opportunity of the home team. Ewerton fired from a free kick next to the left post.
Shortly after that, Dočkal passed to Hancko, which dealt with the sliding defender and missed the right post by a cross shot.
In the 20th minute Plavšić shot from the edge of the box but Letáček stopped the shot by weaker right foot.
In the 35th minute, Pavelka fired out of the penalty area, the shot was blocked by a defender and it was a corner.
Five minutes before the end of the half, Polidar was fouled in the box by Ewerton. Referee Zelinka whistled a penalty after watching the video. Dávid Hancko took the ball and scored into the right corner. So, 2-0 for Sparta after the first half.
Right in the beginning of the second half came a complication. Sparta made a mistake, the home captain Jeřábek chopped Nita and the ball ended in our net.
And it could have been worse. After free kick by Tomáš Čelůstka, Solil hit the post.
The home team had another great chance. Jeřábek shot in the box but Florin Nita stopped a shot by great save.
In the 75th minute, Tomáš Čelůstka fell in the box and the referee with VAR consultation judged the situation as a foul by Wiesner. It was 2-2 by Cadu equalizer.
Laco Krejčí came on the pitch and fired from a difficult position. Unfortunately, Letáček bounced the ball off.
Six minutes before the end, Nita neutralized Huf’s huge chance in the box.
In the added time, Pavelka got to the ball, which Vitík returned from the goal line, and fired, unfortunately he did not score in a difficult position. Sparta got Pardubice under pressure but did not add a third goal. The match ended by a 2-2.
