Sparta head coach Pavel Vrba made an only change in the line-up compared to Sunday's duel with Baník. Hanousek replaced injured Polidar on the left side of the defence.
After 7 minutes, Dočkal played a free kick to the box. Čelůstka tried to find the ball but he was just close. Three minutes later, Hanousek fired from a distance, unfortunately missed the target.
Then came a cold shower. In the 11th minute, guests played a corner. The ball bounced to Brabec and he sent Plzeň to the lead.
After twenty minutes, Sparta had a great chance. Wiesner crossed to the box, Hložek headed near the right post but Staněk performed a great save!
In the 30th minute, Hložek tried it from a distance but his shot went directly to Staněk.
Ten minutes later, Sáček got to the ball in the box and fired. He just missed the left post. So, 0-1 after the first half.
In the 61st minute, Sparta performed a great combination. Wiesy found Hložek in the box, he turned around quickly and equalized!
After 71 minutes, Karabec got through on the right and was very close to equalizing. His shot aimed near the right post, but Staněk caught it.
Plzeň was under great pressure in the end of the game and Sparta finally used it.
Five minutes before the end, Karabec was fouled in the box and the referee ordered a penalty after watching the video. Hancko took a ball and scored with a little help of a crossbar.
Nita then saved us when he stopped a dangerous shot by Hejda.
In the added time, Wiesner sent Karabec behind a defence and Kara knew what to do. Sparta defeated Plzeň 3-1 and returned to second place in the league.
