Sparta won over Baník

Before the match, former Sparta captain Karel Poborský, which celebrated his 50^th birthday this week, was honoured.

Sparta head coach Pavel Vrba sent Sáček, LK37 or Tomáš Čvančara to the pitch from the beginning. On the other hand, Čelůstka, Laco Krejčí, Panák and Juliš could not play due to health problems. Matěj Pulkrab, one of the team's top scorers, was on the bench after an injury.

Unfortunately, the visitors took the lead. In the 8^th minute Fleišman crossed to the box and Svozil jumped on the ball and sent Baník to the lead by his header near the left post.

Five minutes later, Casper crossed to box and found Čvančara. But the guests covered him.

In the 14^th minute Sparta were very unlucky. Hložek's shot was touched by Fleišman and the ball slowly went to the goal but ended on the left post. Čvančara tried to finish the ball from the goal line, but he hit the left post again!

Two minutes later, Vitík headed from the goal line after Pešek's long cross. Čvančara then hit the ball by his head. Laštůvka pushed the ball out, but Adam Hložek was there and equalized.

In the 31^st minute, Kocevoj scored after a corner kick. But his shot went over the bar. Two minutes later, Almási fired after a cross from the right side. But Milan Heča made a great save to stop the league's top scorer.

In the 40^th minute, Højer's shot from a distance and Lischka sent the ball to the corner. Right after that – on of the smaller players on the pitch Tomáš Wiesner headed and Sparta took a lead. So, it was 2-1 for us after the first half.

A minute after the break, Wiesner sent Pešek forward and he tried to get the ball behind Laštůvka, but he overshoot the goal.

In the 60^th minute, the whole stadium raised their hands. Hložek stopped the bal before rhe defender and shot into the half-empty goal. But Fleišman kicked the ball out!

Three minutes before the end, Sparta had a fast break. Højer passed and Hancko fired. But Laštůvka stopped his shot.

In the added time, Hložek tried from a distance but unfortunately missed. That's all what that happened. Sparta won 2:1 and got closer to Plzeň and Slavia before their Sunday game.
