Sparta in Teplice twice hit the post after half an hour of play and four minutes later managed to take the lead thanks to Jan Kuchta. However, a situation at the end of the first half significantly impacted the match when the referee, after consultation with VAR, gave a red card to Ladislav Krejčí. The home team took advantage of one extra player on the pitch at the very end and thus decided about the draw and the final result.
