Sparta won 2:1 in the 3rd round of the F:L finals

In the 3rd round of the F:L finals, Sparta faced Baník Ostrava in the sold-out epet ARENA, hosting them again less than three weeks later. Veljko Birmančević propelled the home team towards victory, first opening the scoring after half an hour and then, half an hour later, scoring his 16th league goal to regain the lead for his team. He thus contributed greatly to the final 2:1 result and earning of three important points.
