NEXTGEN CUP is back

Second edition of the international tournament for the U19 category

Share

AC Sparta Prague, following a successful first edition which they won themselves, is once again hosting the NEXTGEN CUP for U19 players. This year, the tournament will take place from August 6 to 10 and will feature six teams from England, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Scotland.
The inaugural tournament in 2024 couldn’t have gone better for Sparta. After a win against Danish side Odense and a draw with Polish club Legia Warsaw, they advanced to the final, where goals from Moudrý and Pančev secured a victory over Austria Vienna and saw them lift the trophy. Other participants in the tournament included English club West Ham and Slavia Prague.
The last two mentioned teams won’t be missing from this year’s tournament either. Alongside Sparta, they’ll be joined by another English side, Southampton, Danish club Midtjylland, and Rangers from Scotland. Group stage matches are scheduled from August 6 to 8 at Strahov, placement matches will take place on August 10 at Loko Praha, and the final—just like last year—will be held at Prosek.
Entry to all matches is free. For more information about the tournament, follow Sparta’s official website and the youth academy’s social media channels.
