Sparta will want to add a second triumph, having managed to win in 2024. Last year, they fell to Denmark's Midtjylland in the final. The following teams will participate in this year's edition: AC Sparta Prague, Odense BK, Right to Dream International Academy, SC Braga, SK Slavia Prague, and West Ham United FC.
The group stage of the NEXTGEN CUP will be played from Wednesday, August 5th to Friday, August 7th at Strahov. On Sunday, August 9th, the matches for 5th and 3rd place will be hosted by Loko Praha, and the battle for gold will take place at Prosek again this year. All matches will be played as 2x 40 minutes.
How did it go last time?
In 2025, Sparta made it to the final again, finishing first after a penalty shootout in a dramatic group with Scotland's Rangers and England's Southampton. Midtjylland dominated the second group, leaving Slavia and England's West Ham behind. The Danish side was also successful in the final, winning 2-0 to take home the gold medals!
