Lukáš Štetina has extended the contract
Centre-back Lukáš Štetina continues in Sparta! 28-year-old defender’s contract should end after this season, but Lukáš and the club have agreed with extension of the contract by two years until the summer of 2022.
Lukáš Štetina came to Sparta from Dukla in the summer 2017 with as one of the best defender in the league. He fulfilled it in the first season in Sparta. He belonged to the players with most minutes and his teammates also elected him, as the best player of the 2017/2018 season.
In the next two seasons he lost his place in the line-up. But after Václav Kotal has become a head coach, Lukáš came back and played great games against Baník and Slavia before the forced covid-19 break. So his time in Sparta continues!
"It's a satisfaction, what I'm doing for football has returned to me. I believe in the football God and I know that I do my best for football. A lot of things were written, but I know how I work at home, in training and in matches. It doesn't always go the way you want it to, but once when I will be done, I know I gave everything to football. I am glad that it has returned to me in the form of a new contract, said," Štetina after the extension of the contract.
Lukáš Štětina was born in July 1991 in Nitra. He also played there for the first time in a Slovak league.
