Sparta first team is back in training. Head coach Pavel Hapal welcomed players back at Letná stadium on Monday morning before the first training session of the summer pre-season.
The squad at the start of the pre-season included some two new faces – goalkeeper Milan Heča who moved to Sparta from 1.FC Slovácko a two weeks ago and striker Benjamin Tetteh who played for Bohemians Praha 1905 last season and his transfer to Sparta is finalising.
Four players – Florin Nita, Nicolae Stanciu, Tal Ben Chaim and Josef Šural – will join the squad on Thursday this week as they have longer break because they were with national teams after the end of the season.
There are also players who were on-loan in last season - Ćivić, Chvátal, Wiesner, Holzer, Vukadinović, Havelka, Néstor, Mandjeck, Dao and Pulkrab.
Young striker Václav Drchal continues his rehab after a knee surgery in May but there will be another young striker in the squad at the start of the pre-season as Adam Hložek joined the first team squad. Adam will turn 16 next month.
Players will undergo traditional physical tests in next days and we will finish the first training week with two friendly matches against AS Trenčín on Saturday with a kick-off at 11 & 14 CET at the Training Ground Strahov.
