Semih came to Sparta in June 2017 from one of the most famous Turkish clubs. But he did not get a permanent place in squad. During year and a half in Sparta he played 21 matches. Also because of the frequent injuries. Semih was in line-up for the last time in October. (0-1 against Olomouc). Since then, he did not get to the field. At the end of the autumn, he was injured again.
Kaya played in Galatasaray from 2009 to 2017 with three league triumphs. He made his debut in the national team in 2012 and has played 23 games.
