David Holoubek leaves the first team. Tomáš Požár has also been relieved of his first team coaching duties, after being named the headcoach in the winter break.
AC Sparta Praha board has decided to react to the unsuccessful start of the second part of the season. Sparta have been eliminated from the Europa League by Rostov and lost both away matches in the ePojistění.cz league (1-3 in Jablonec, 0-1 in Mladá Boleslav).
“We’re not satisfied with both results and our performances. The team did not manage to get back to the winning ways after being eliminated from the Europa League, and there were not any signs of improving. We will keep the public informed about the current situation in the upcoming days,” said the club’s general manager Adam Kotalík.
Zdeněk Svoboda and Stanislav Hejkal are now in charge of the first team as interim coaches.
David Holoubek will continue with his excellent work for the Sparta youth academy at Strahov, as he was the U19 squad coach until Sparta and former first team manager Zdeněk Ščasný parted ways, and won the U19 championship with his team. Petr Havlíček also moves back to Strahov with Holoubek.
