Sparta started the game actively and after 10 minutes Bořek Dočkal could have opened the score. Unfortunately Dočkal hit the post after Zahustel’s pass!
The first major situation on the other side happened six minutes later. Milan Baroš jumped on a corner kick and headed just wide our goal.
After twenty minutes Dočkal sent the cross over the bar. Seven minutes later Zahustel found Karlsson in the box, unfortunately he didn’t get to the ball.
In 29th minute Baroš passed the ball to Dame Diop who sent Baník took the lead. Sparta worked hard on equalizing and it happened ten minutes later. David Moberg Karlsson sent the ball from the corner kick exactly to Štetina, which headed to half-time 1-1.
Ondřej Zahustel right at the start of the second half jumped to the center and missed the goal closely. Adam Hložek’s attempt ended also next to the goal few minutes later. In the 57th minute David Moberg Karlsson scored by brilliant free kick and give us the lead! A minute later Adam Hložek went alone, but missed the target.
After one hour Štetina was sent off after the second yellow. Ščasný then replaced Karlsson for Radaković. Tetteh then had stayed himself in front of Laštůvka but goalie stopped him. Costa then sent him pass to offside.
15 minutes before the end, Baroš hit the post. After few minutes on the field, Václav Drchal had changed the ball with Dočkal and with a bit of luck scored the third goal of Sparta!
Three minutes before the end Drchal had a huge chance. He went straight from the right to Laštůvka, but ended with a slowly shot. Just before the end, the young shooter tried again alone. This time he had scored the goal but the referee after consulting with the VAR stopped our celebrations because of offside.
In the added time Drchal and Dočkal came two on one. Drchal had offered the ball to Dočkal, who wanted to return to Drchal. Unfortunately the back pass didn’t get to Drchal.
In the end Nemanja Kuzmanović scored for 3-2 from the long range. It has not changed anything about our victory. Sparta won 3-2 a direct game for third place against Baník!
