Lost to the Norwegian vice-champion

Sparta played second match in two days. This time against the Norwegian vice-champion Bodo/Glimt. Kanga did not score from penalty, we twice hit the post. Glimt used a penalty and one chance at the end. Krejčí scored our only goal, so we lost 1-2.

Sick head coach Vaclav Jilek was not fit yet, so we were led by assistant Jiri Saňak again. Guélor Kanga and Bořek Dočkal played together for the first time since the spring victory over Plzeň.

Sparta did not start well in the match when Lischka fouled in the box after 3 minutes. Hauge then scored from the penalty.

The Spartans did not wait long time for an answer. Trávník found Dočkal which crossed to Ladislav Krejčí, who pushed the ball into the net and levelled.

In the 13^th minute Dočkal passed from the corner to Štetina, whose header did not find the place between three posts.

Two minutes later Tetteh chipped Chalaikin and the ball ended in the net. Unfortunately, the Spartan forward was in offside.

After twenty minutes, the shooter of the equalizer Krejčí shot from a distance. His attempt flew outside of Bodo's goal.

Six minutes later, the Norwegians threatened with a quick counterattack to Nita. He destroyed the action.

Sparta also kicked a penalty in the 32^nd minute when Adam Hložek was fouled in the penalty area. The traditional executor Guélor Kanga played the penalty. But this time Sparta did not secure the lead when the shot was stopped by the goalkeeper.

Ten minutes before the break, Tetteh had a big chance. He didn’t score face to face to the keeper. No more happened in the first half.

In the second, the same line-up of the red players started. After six minutes, Saltnes did not threaten Nita with a long shot.

This could not be said about a chance of Benjamin Tetteh, who a moment later run away of the defenders and hit a post! In the 55^th minute, Chalkin bounced off Hložek’s shot.

He then a moment later sent a crossed shot. But he didn’t find a goal nor running Tetteh. Benji was unable to finish the game because of injury and he was substituted by Graiciar after 69 minutes.

In the 74^th minute after action of fresh Karlsson, Ladislav Krejčí fired the ball into the crossbar. Such a pity! Ten minutes before the end, Zickernagel went through the Spartan defence, passed to Konradsen, who shot the Norwegians leading goal from an only one chance.

In the 85^th minute Kanga fired from a distance, but his attempts was pushed to the corner by defenders. A few seconds later, Štetina jumped to the cross but he didn’t success. Sparta lost to Bodo/Glimt 1-2.
