„Albion has great potential to continue to develop at his age. He fits the typology that we are looking for in a striker of our style of play," says AC Sparta Praha sporting director Tomáš Rosický. „He can be very productive, which is proven by his statistics from the last two seasons. At the same time, he can create chances for his teammates. He can be used both in the progressive attack and in breakthrough situations. We believe that he will continue to improve in our style of play."
Albion came through the youth academy of KF Llapi. During the start of his career, he played for clubs from lower tiers of the Kosovan football league system. In 2021 he switched Malisheva for Ballkani which played in the top-flight competition.
In his first season in Ballkani, Albion spent most of the time on the bench. He scored his first goal against his former employer from Malisheva. A certain Ermal Krasniqi secured a 2-0 win with a penalty. These two players probably didn’t know back then that they would meet again several times in the same jersey. In the end of the season, Ballkani celebrated their first ever championship title.
Ballkani defended the title in the next season. Albion fully established himself in the starting line-up. He scored 21 goals and became the top scorer of the Kosovan league. He also added seven goals in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification. In the group stage Ballkani faced CFR Cluj, Sivasspor and Slavia. Unfortunately, four points were not enough to progress in the play-off. Albion had two assists, one of them against Slavia.
Albion’s successful season earned him a transfer to Rapid Bucharest in summer 2023. His form continued also in Romania. In the las season, Albion scored 17 goals and added 5 assists in the Romanian top-flight competition. He managed to do all that despite not playing from October to December due to injury.
In January 2024, he met again with Ermal Krasniqi, who came to Rapid from Cluj. Together, they led the team to 2nd place before the start of the play-off round. Albion also got an invitation to the Kosovo national team, for which he has already played five matches.
During this transfer window, Albion had several offers. However, he will continue his career in our jersey.
