„Dominik has a natural instinct for getting into the box, knows how to find the right spaces, and finishes well. He’s a goal-oriented player who consistently finds himself in the right place at the right time. We see him as a very versatile midfielder who can adapt to various roles – whether as a number eight or a number ten. He’s a winning type with the mindset we want to bring to Sparta,“ says interim sporting director of ACS Tomáš Sivok.

A product of AS Trenčín’s academy, Hollý made his senior league debut at just 17 years old in a win against Žilina. During the 2021/22 season, he became a key part of Trenčín’s starting eleven and earned a call-up to Slovakia’s squad for the U19 European Championship, where he played in seven of the team’s eight halftimes ath the tournament. Unfortunately, his participation in the 2023 U20 World Cup in Argentina was ruled out due to meningitis.
Before moving to the Czech Republic, Hollý made 66 appearances for Trenčín, scoring 9 goals and providing 8 assists. He twice reached the Slovak Cup semi-finals, facing eventual finalists Slovan Bratislava and Spartak Trnava.
In February 2024, he made the move to Jablonec, where he quickly established himself in the starting lineup under coach Radoslav Látal. Despite the club’s battle to avoid relegation, Hollý impressed enough to earn a senior national team call-up for a pre-Euro training camp. He made his debut for Slovakia in a friendly against San Marino, playing 22 minutes. However, he narrowly missed out on the final squad for the senior European Championship.

Hollý will now turn his focus to the U21 Euros, where he remains a key figure for Slovakia’s squad. He arrives at Sparta after scoring seven league goals for Jablonec in the 2024/25 season.
Dominik, welcome to Sparta! Best of luck in our jersey!
