Coach Václav Jílek sent a strong line-up to the MOL Cup match and made only few changes after the last league game. Andreas Vindheim was on the right wing and Matěj Hanousek was the left defender.
The home team started with two corners in the first two minutes. The first one pushed Hanousek on the back stick to the next corner. And then came dangerous cross into the box and Sivok’s shot just above.
In the fifth minute our defence failed and Dynamo had chances. Nita and one of the backs had enough work. Then came dangerous cross and Ledecký’s shot which stopped Nita.
After ten minutes, our first big opportunity came! After the Vindheim - Hašek cooperation, the ball got to the box line to Hložek. He decided to fire from behind the defender. But his attempt went next to the post. In the 26th minute Adam Hložek got enough time from home defence pushed to Matěj Hanousek and he scored.
For a while, however, the home team had a chance to equalize. Patrik Brandner tried it by half volley. Nita was ready and pushed him to the corner. But it was Sparta who hit after the corner kick. In the 38th minute Hanousek shot in the box and his attempt was pushed by Kozák to net. 2-0!
After the half time we added the third goal! Matěj Hanousek showed a great slalom through the home defence and crossed to the box. There was ready Kozák and sent the ball into the empty goal!
Matěj Hanousek played probably the best match of his career. In the 61st minute, Kanga found a left-defender from the corner and he sent the ball to Staněk's goal” A great performance by Hanousek!
In the 69th minute it could be by five goals! Adam Hložek tried from the long distance! His attempt ended on the crossbar behind Staněk!
In the 75th minute Frýdek prepared a position for Kozák, but his technical attempt missed the goal.
The match then offered a few more interesting Spartan opportunities, but without a goal. Sparta won 4-0 for the third time in the last four matches. We are in the quarter-finals of the home cup!
