Reserves captain signed up a new contract

Lukáš Vácha continues in the red jersey! The 31-year-old captain of the reserves has signed up a new contract and will play for the club in the next season. "I appreciate every day in Sparta," Vácha said after signing a new contract.
"I am proud and proud that I have signed up a contract in Sparta again. I have always said that I am proud to wear a Sparta jersey and I am pleased to extend my contract in the club. It's a reward for me and I really appreciate it," smiling Lukáš added.
Last season, Lukáš Vácha played in the Sparta reserves as very experienced player between young team. The reserves fought in the third highest competition for the second league. Unfortunately, the competition was terminated after round 16 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Reserves was on second place in the table with a loss of only two points to the leading Táborsko. Lukáš played eleven matches and once scored. "Now, we train to be ready for the first team if it’s necessary. The connection with the first team is still the same and very good. We train for the time when the first team play and then we will see how our pre-season will be planned," Vácha said.
Lukáš came to Sparta in January 2013 as a league champion with Slovan Liberec. In the following year, he also celebrated the title at Letná and raised the home cup. In the same season, he scored a beautiful goal from at the Slavia stadium from a free kick. Probably the most beautiful goal “Vašon” scored in the UEFA Europa League against the Young Boys Bern. UEFA have chosen his goal among ten most beautiful goals of the group stage of 2014/15. "I appreciate it. It's an award for a goal and a moment in my career. It's been a long time and it warms me up when I look at that goal among the highlights of the Europa League," Lukáš smiles.
He left an even bigger mark with Sparta in Europe a year later, when the journey of the fighters in the red ended in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League. "There are so many great moments I've had in Sparta. The biggest for me are the title, the European campaign and the cup,"  Lukáš summed up his time in Sparta so far.
Luky, good luck in the next season in Sparta!
