Pavel Vrba made only one change in comparison to the last match against Hradec Králové. Karlsson changed Karabec in the starting eleven. Sparta's head coach could not count with Krejčí, LK37, Dočkal, Juliš, Štetina, Čelůstka, Vindheim and Højer. On the other hand, Dynamo's goalkeeper Vojtěch Vorel, who is on loan from Sparta, could not play in this game due to the deal between these clubs.
The first interesting moment in the match came after eight minutes when Wiesner found Pešek's head, and he tightly missed a target.
Hložek checked Šípoš readiness with a shoot behind the penalty area in the 16th minute. He missed only a few centimetres from the right post.
Spartans were very active during these minutes while Králik blocked Hložek's attempt. The ball went directly to Wiesner who sent it above the visitor's goal.
Pulkrab stayed alone right in front of Šípoš in the 28th minute. A long pass found his head, but he missed a good chance.
Karlsson sent a great ball from a corner directly to Hancko's head who opened the score of the game in the 38th minute, 1-0 for Sparta.
Dynamo had a couple of chances within a few seconds in the additional time, but Sparta's defense blocked all of them. However, the last shot from Čavoš went through and tightly missed Nita's goal. It was the last thing that happened in the first half.
Sparta showed a beautiful signal from the corner kick at the beginning of the second half. Pavelka passed a long ball to Wiesner who was ready for it behind the penalty area. He shot from the first touch and the ball was headed to the goal, but it was blocked and tightly missed the left post.
Pulkrab took two players on himself close to Šípoš in the 56th minute. Then he decided to pass to Hložek who did not hit the ball as he imagined while falling.
Another chance for Sparta came in the 63rd minute. A long pass found Pešek but his header went above the goal.
Spartans were dominating and creating chances, but they were missing efficiency. Karlsson made a shot after a nice combination in the 76th minute, but it did not cause a lot of troubles for Šípoš.
Karlsson showed people a great free kick in the 86th minute, but the Slovak goalkeeper made an amazing save.
No other huge chance happens during the left time. Sparta won 1-0 over Budějovice.
