We are happy to announce another signing, Tomáš Koubek, a talented goalkeeper, who joins Sparta Prague from Hradec Králové.
However, in the 2015-2016 season, we will not have the chance to see him at Letná – he will leave on loan immediately, as negotiations still continue.
„It’s amazing, I’m really excited to become a part of the club. I’m grateful for the opportunity,“ Koubek says.
Koubek has grew up in Hradec Králové and he has never played a league match for any other team. He’s been a regular national team player, and also was the Czech number one at the U21 European championship in Czech Republic this June, where he met a couple of his new teammates from Sparta.
„I’m looking forward to meeting them again, I have a lot of good friends in the squad. However, I did not consulting the transfer with them, it was an easy decision for me,“ Koubek says.
„Tomáš is a very talented goalkeeper, his transfer is an investment for the future. Right now, all he needs, is to play, and that’s why we’re sending him out on loan,“ says the club board member Jakub Otava.
„Tomáš has been one of the biggest goalkeeping talents in the country, and he confirmed that with his performances at the European championship. The change gives him another opportunity to play in the Czech top division, which is a necessity for his further career,“said the player’s agent, Viktor Kolář from SPORT INVEST International.
